Friendly reminder to the reboot writers that the only time Kirk ever forgot someone he’d kissed in TOS was this:
… which happened because he cared about her too much.
Here are some of the women Kirk didn’t forget:
Oh and just for kicks, here’s what his relationship with Chapel looked like:
… but never mind that, because I guess TOS got it all wrong and the real way to be tough, manly main character is to bang (or try to bang) every woman in sight and then forget/ignore/dismiss them later. No meaningful romances or platonic friendships allowed, no sir!
I drew these for one of the kids at school that love Ninja Turtles and soccer so I thought I’d combine them for him. I might try and draw this again later with some references. I don’t really get into watching sports much.
Because I am an obsessive who needs to know how spaces work, I had a go at the abandoned subway station that serves the 2012!turtles as their lair. Going on what they’ve shown us so far, this is the best I can do to make sense of things.
The way the station platform curves suggests that this station is partially based on the very beautiful and dangerously curved, and therefore closed City Hall station loop (which I think is the largest abandoned subway station in Manhattan).
This is amazing and I can vouch for its accuracy. It’s very similar to, and actually much prettier than, the rough CG top-down mockup we were given as reference for the lair. I like trying to figure out the layouts of TV locations, but I don’t think I would have been able to piece this together based on what we’ve seen on the show so far. The one thing I would note is, I don’t THINK there’s another staircase past the archway to the Turtle bedrooms. And I think Leatherhead lives much farther away.
Well, then were are their rooms? I’m so wanna see that, their own rooms, with their stuff, and sleeping… I mena, they can’t be awake forever!!
That is where their rooms are; I’m just saying there isn’t another staircase on the way.
